The art of staying in

Coffee at the farmhouse table. A book by the fireplace. Dinner outside as the garden settles into dusk. A comfortable Cape home for four, with room to gather and quiet corners to enjoy on your own.

Your Hyannis home base

Make Hyannis your base for harbor mornings and trips along the Cape. Use the map to explore the neighborhood, and leave room on arrival day for groceries, a short walk, and supper at home. We share detailed arrival instructions before your stay.

Before you settle in

Stock the cottage, then slow down

Make the first shop a pleasure: breakfast provisions, something local for dinner and flowers for the table.

Gather round

Breakfast first. Everything else later.

A sage-green kitchen opens to a farmhouse dining table made for lingering. Coffee and tea, everyday cookware, serving dishes and a well-stocked pantry shelf make staying in appealing. Carry supper out to the garden terrace when the light turns golden.

Thoughtful details

The small comforts, considered

Fresh linens, bath towels, Wi-Fi, laundry essentials, and a beach basket are ready for an easy week. Keep sandy shoes by the door, bring a light layer for the evening, and save an afternoon for doing very little.

Outside

Garden mornings, saltwater afternoons

The cottage garden is the place for coffee and a quiet chapter; the Cape coast is the invitation to go exploring. This is a garden retreat, not a private waterfront home. Make a beach day of it, then return to flowers, warm light and a table outdoors.

Cottage rituals

Our kind of day

Start slowly at the kitchen table, take a book to the sofa, or carry dinner into the garden. The cottage makes room for the hours between outings, when everyone is happy to do their own thing.

Pick up something good for supper before coming home. Open the map only when you feel like making tomorrow’s plans; a quiet evening here is a plan in its own right.

Rest well

Good nights, slow mornings

Two bedrooms—a queen room and a twin room—sleep four comfortably. Layered quilts, fresh cotton linens, and extra blankets make settling in easy. Open the curtains, put the coffee on, and let the morning arrive at its own pace.
